Anxiety is a complicated, multifaceted condition that often accompanies chronic stress, traumatic brain injuries, sleep disorders, depression, physical and emotional trauma, and more. We understand anxiety's neurological, metabolic, and emotional components and are here to help. You are not alone!

Anxiety is normal. We all experience anxiety at times. It is a natural bodily response that is vital to survival mechanisms. Our autonomic system regulates anxiety, which triggers our body's “fight or flight” response. Anxiety is helpful and adaptive when it works right, but if there is no real danger, it is not only scary, it is very exhausting. Anxiety disorders are considered a serious mental illness that can cause such distress that it interferes with a person's ability to lead a normal life. However, our goal shouldn’t be to dismiss it entirely—just to make it a healthy, manageable part of our lives.

In many patients with anxiety, it's pivotal that we balance the autonomic nervous system. We use neurological exercises to activate the brain areas associated with the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) and limbic retraining to decondition anxiety patterns in the brain. Relaxing and shutting off our minds from our day's activities can be challenging in our busy lives. Not giving ourselves time to unwind and relax at the end of our day before sleep keeps us out of a healthy "rest and digest" state and potentially increases our anxiety. We have therapies and noninvasive technologies that allow patients to readily access the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest), intending to reduce anxiety.

Therapies we use include but are not limited to Vagus nerve stimulation, neuromodulation, neurofeedback, and bioenergy medicine technology. We understand that no two patients experiencing anxiety are the same, and we take pride in creating personalized treatment plans for each patient.
